hello y’all. friend Ryan sent me an email about a certain someone (ahemMELINDAahem) … because she is going to be swim coach next year. and we all despise her. she’s one crazy bitch. just read this (oh, and disregard the spelling errors and stuff; i’m too lazy to edit this):
Title: A Power Hungry Fruitcake
1. As a new coach on the swim team, ordered over $2,000 of new “training equipment” for the team, without ever consulting us or notifying us beforehand. As the end of the year approaches, she announces that we will each only have to pay $80 to take care of the debt. EXCUSE ME? Who wanted to buy that stuff? OH, and no only that, but we were initially charged for stuff the Volleyball team had bought, that had somehow gotten onto our account.
2. We voted for team captains. Everyone wrote two names of a preferred team captains for the boys and girls teams. After the polls came in we were informed that our new team captains were a freshman, a senior West High Student (our school), and TWO swimmers who were no from West. Later in the year, after much digging, we discover that the head coach from past years had nothing to do with the voting, and the new coach had counted the votes. Apparently, she paid no attention to the votes, and chose the captains herself. (Of course, usually only Juniors and Seniors were allowed to be team captains, as they would obviously have more experience. Such was not so this year.) A good friend of mine was completely cheated out of the position by the coach, who manipulated the system to fit her own views. Read the rest of this entry »
