my last post before I accomplish having lived 20 years

OK, so the official countdown has come to 2.5 hours as I type these words. Eeeeeee! I’m not much friggin’ out as I am in awe of how much I’ve done my first ~20 years of my life (I know, I know… two posts ago was me being crazy and stressed…). Even if I tried I couldn’t list everything I’m completely happy with, but I’m definately happy.

So far, I’m quite satisfied with me. “Me” being the person I’ve developed into. I don’t know how it happened (I blame my wonderful parents/family), but I’ve no compliants (except for the fact that ochem is still a bitch). Yay!

I definately like my friends, and I sure know how to pick ‘em! They have been absolutely wonderful and supportive throughout our friendship(s) and I appreciate it (perhaps I should tell them more often).

Woo. I’m pretty much happy with where I am with life right now. Everything seems to be working out quite nicely, and I like that.

I’m too full from eating to type any more so I’m going to eat a kiwi, read a bit of bio and wait for the time to come… (“,)

Ack!

I got a lot of my presents today in the mail and I have one thing to say:
I have the greatest people possible as friends.
It’s not because they send me presents (although that part is absolutely a plus),
it’s the fact that they’re such good people. I enjoy the company of good people.
I daresay, I definately know how to pick my company. Amen.

Aaaaand… I’ve finally got something to cuddle with when I fall asleep! Excitement you cannot even fathom. :D

Oh boy oh boy. I get the house allllllll to myself tomorrow and most of Friday. Means dancing naked throughout the house for meeee.
Ok, so I’m not going to San Jose to see I Am Ghost and I’m not going to Berekely to see X. Why? you ask. Meh, it’s because of the stupid ochem test I have on Monday and my sanity has told me to actually stay home and study for 4 days… because that’s how much time I’ll need to study for this dumb test, and yeah, I’m gonna fail it anyway. :D

This happens every year: thinking about my birthday and how I’m a year older. Should be fun, right? NO. Not the way I work it: somehow thoughts go back to the fact that I’m about 20% of the way to being fully dead (but at this moment I’m only dying… very slowly) but I don’t feel like I’ve accomplished 20% of what I want to do in life! I feel so lazy! SIGH.

Life is changing, therefore, so must I:

• I’m going to New Zealand this coming summer: 2 weeks of volunteering and 2 weeks of adventure! Yes! I couldn’t get into the Australia program because it was already filled up… bah. Mebbe this time I’ll find a decent Kiwi to hook up with … hm…

• I plan to get my basic EMT license this winter, after Christmas break. If not, my CNA. I really need one of those for med school. Gah. But it’s something I will enjoy. Pathetically I still am not CPR certified. DAMN! I ALSO NEED TO TAKE LIFE GUARD CLASSES!!! So much to do… so little time…

• Get a non-dead-end job. Preferrably something that’ll help me gain experience for med school also. I guess I’ll have to start as a clinic receptionist or something… ew. Too bad all the ones listed for school as lab assistants need people who already had experience using the equipment. BUT I’M A GOOD LEARNER! YOU CAN TEACH ME AND I PROMISE I WON’T MESS UP (too much). This starts after I get back from Christmas break.

• Start volunteering at the Chinese clinic in Sac. I believe I know enough Cantonese to get by as an interpreter — I’ve done it before with my aunts — so I think I should do it. Plus, you DON’T NEED TO KNOW Chinese to volunteer there. Problem: transportation. I definately can’t bike there. Meh, I guess I’ll have to resort to taking the bus… gross.

This is what I can come up with for now… and this is only the beginning of what’s in my head!
