oh, random shit that hides in my head.

bagel, 5 shots of espresso, & an apple: all that I’ve consumed today

Last weekend was the first weekend in more than 6 weeks that I was home not playing a frisbee tourney, out of town, and/or studying for finals. I was also not very productive last weekend.

I have also not slept-in in nearly 3 weeks (probably more). I’m oh-so-very tired. I can’t wait until next weekend… and this weekend isn’t even here yet.

I got an A- on a short English paper (a close-reading of a passage from a novel); I’m still very much bewildered that I got such a grade considering the facts that I haven’t written an English paper in 2 years and I utterly despise the way I write [huh, yet I keep a blog...].

Will be in Oregon this weekend for frisbee Regionals. I probably won’t get much playing time (if any at all), but at least now I will be able to say I’ve been to Oregon.

what a week

Self Against City played at the quad today. I helped give away some EC shirts. I hung out with the band and crew for a bit til I had to work at one. Jon and I did not get into another eating competition, although I would totally have done it if I didn’t have to go randomize beetles.

Messaged Zach from PTM and he told me to see them in Sac on May 2nd and we’d hang. We’ll see how that works out because that’s a Wednesday and I lab til 7pm on those days (and 4 classes on Thurs + practice).

I’m sick with the flu. My friends are falling apart. I feel like I’m slowly drawing myself away. I’m not as strong as I seem; I have my weak spots.

STUPID WEATHER

Weather for Santa Cruz, CA:

  • Tonight: mostly cloudy
  • Tomorrow: few showers/ wind, high of 60
  • Sunday: sunny/ windy, high of 63

WTF?! It’s going to be like Santa Barbara all over again by the looks of it. I wish it were sunny and warm again like it was 2 weeks ago. Boo. I hope I play well enough this weekend.

It also doesn’t look so great in the Davis area. Tomorrow is Picnic Day and weather.com says it’s going to be rainy tomorrow and Sunday’s going to be sunny but hella windy. Oh fun.

stinky stinky poo

Wow. Last night, this morning = yowza. I do remember getting up in the middle of the night and without pants on, go to the bathroom. Which is downstairs. Meaning I had a ways to walk without pants on. Hmmm.

Fucking AFI. That one song, good.

Sectionals this weekend! I’m excited! Except that I have a bio midterm on Monday I need to study for. Crap.

Here’s what went on when I tried to leave the team:

Hi Coaches and Captains,
I have been debating with myself over this decision for the last week and half and have decided that I will not be attending any more practices or tournaments for the rest of this season. I realized last week that this quarter is going to be a lot of work for me academically (I have three labs plus a job), and considering my future, I need more of the time between classes and work to focus on my studies. This has been a very hard decision for me to make and I will miss both the team and finishing the rest of the season, but I think this is best for me at the moment. I definitely plan to be back for the fall.
