Two weeks.
I have to admit: probably the best two-week break I’ve had yet.
Adventures to IKEA, SF and around town. So many pictures and so many good memories.
I didn’t realize until today how lonely it is when it’s only just me; no wonder I’ve been dreading going home these past few days.
Hello, Tomorrow and SF. I will see Julia and our adventures will keep my mind a little more occupied.

Wow, what a night(/morning). Just got home from hanging out with Tim; good times, good times. We saw 300 and spent the last few hours at IHOP just chatting it up about life and such. I haven’t been out this late in a really long time; it feels great. Although I have to be up fairly early tomorrow morning, staying up this late was well worth it.
But this evening has made me miss home, too.
I miss being up this late and just chilling with people at a diner, having coffee, greasy diner food and discussing life. There is no VINL here, just Denny’s or IHOP (ew). Nor is there a Leroy’s. Ah, I miss home. When we left it also smelled of an Alaskan summer’s evening; that fresh, crisp smell of trees and grass, where it’s not too cold but just enough to wear a light jacket.
What I heard twice tonight: Snow Patrol’s “Chasing Cars”. I know, it’s a radio song, but it was a meaningful song to me before it was a radio song. It was around beginning of last summer to fall that this song had meaning; I didn’t realize that until I heard it again months later, in the middle of winter. Why? Blame Grey’s Anatomy. This song makes me want to cry and feel all girly inside every time I hear it. I have my reasons, and most of it lies during September.
Oh Life, why must you be so complicated right now?
300: I’ve never appreciated 6-packs more in my life. Like, wow, 6-packs everywhere in that movie; it was kinda overwhelming. Good I guess… maybe I needed a fix. Also, how did I miss the silhouette??? HOW? Guess I’ll just have to watch the movie again to catch that. Heh.
But yeah. Life. Ugh.

I’ve unconsciously substituted Atticus for men. Men of the human race, men. There’s nothing like hearing a motor running -like sound at 4 in the morning with a wet nose on one’s lips. And a furry ass. On one’s face. He’s very tiny though, and well, quite warm and cozy when he sleeps with me. Ah, the wonders of having a kitty.
Just got back from a night of Unitrans nerd funtime. It was great. Got all dressed up and went to the Uni-ball with CD, had a fancy dinner and danced til the clock hit midnight. Got back to CD’s place and his roommies (C&L) with Alex (a fellow bus driver) and I all went hot tubbing, which was quite fun. Afterwards we watched Confederate States of America (which I had already seen), and I fell asleep in the same chair has CD and Alex. (!!!… they got quite cozy with each other…!!! hahaha) So now I’m home and ready to get out of my dress and sleep.
Oh jeez, I haven’t gone to bed before 1am in sooooooo long. I don’t anticipate it happening in the next week either.
