I was talking to Lop the other night and he made me realize how busy I’ve been… and how NOT busy I’ll be after this weekend.
Before this past weekend:
1) Classes
2) Work
3) Research project (at work)
4) Frisbee (tourneys and practices)
5) MCAT studying
After this coming weekend:
1) Classes
2) Work
THAT’S IT???!!! Five dwindles down to two. Weird. I’ll have to go work-out multiple times a week to make up for lack of frisbee practices and to keep myself busy. It’s not good times when I’m not busy. Crazy, I know.
… But until then… I feel like I’ve got too much to do. Blah.

Did the MCATs on Saturday and now I feel so much lighter. One thing done, two more to go… and then I’ll only have two things to worry about until the summer! Ahhh, it feels good to have one less thing to study for.
Picnic Day. Missed it last year, missed it this year. Will I miss it next year? Perhaps. Picnic Day usually falls on Sectionals Weekend, so maybe… All I hear about is Picnic Day and how great it is… and when I found out that my MCAT date was on Picnic Day…! Frustrating.
Then I had a brilliant plan to celebrate the end of MCATs by going out that night with a friend who had just turned 21 (I owe her birthday drinks) and well, she was already at another party. Poo. So I showered and returned some phone calls, but by the time I was done… I was so exhausted. A friend even invited me out but I was pooped and I also wasn’t up for biking all the way downtown. So I passed out in bed. Sober. Read the rest of this entry »

It’s the Thursday before Finals Week. Oh boy, oh boy.
I’ve been up since 6am because I had to do some last minute studying for my Immunology class; we had our third midterm today (instead of a final for next week) that, thank God, wasn’t cumulative. I did pretty well considering I was caring less and less as today approached.
Grades:
Midterm 1 – 89% (40% of grade)
Midterm 2 – 72% (40% of grade)
Midterm 3 – 86% (20% of grade)
This means I have at least a ‘B-’, but I’m really hoping for a ‘B’ since I improved. I’m really hating myself now for slacking off for the second midterm because I know I could have done well if I had tried… then maybe I would have a ‘B+’ or something. Now I’m just happy I don’t have another ‘C’ in a class I could have done well in and that I have one class down and two more to go! Read the rest of this entry »

I’m so tired. So very, very tired. One week down, one more to go… then maybe or maybe not I’ll get to finally relax.
This weekend is the Stanford Qualifier (damn them and the mix-up) so we have to play to see if we get to seed in the actual Stanford Invite next weekend. We were supposed to just go to the Invite, but with the email mix-up, we now have to work for it AND play tournaments two weekends in a row.
This past week: two midterms–immunology and physics. Had practice 4x this week + lack of sleep = doing wonders to my body…
Hey, I signed up for this (no regrets) but if this is me tired NOW, with only 3 classes, practice, work, and studying for MCATs… then I’m going to literally DIE at the beginning of April. Why? Read the rest of this entry »

I was pretty sure I failed my physics final. I was half-asleep for the first half an hour, and clueless the last 1.5 hrs. I came out of the test feeling like the best grade I was going to get for the class was a D+. Seriously. I felt like I was going to vomit and cry myself to sleep that night, but I couldn’t let that horrid final stop me from having fun Friday night.
What did I get in physics? A ‘B’. I’m extremely happy. GPA for this quarter: 3.20, which brings my overall GPA to a 3.30. That makes me happy too. Now I’m less likely to not get into Med School. Yay.
Also: I got an ‘A’ in writing class. Very cool.
